What a YAM club looks like

YAM clubs run once a week on the school campus, straight after the school day, so parents do not need to arrange extra travel. Each club follows the YAM curriculum for its age group, mixing drama games, voice and movement work, improvisation, songs and short scenes or routines. The term ends with a showcase for parents.

Clubs are led by YAM's experienced performing arts teachers, who bring their own materials and plans, and groups are kept to a size where every child gets attention and time to perform.

For schools

YAM works with international and private schools across Doha to add high-quality drama and performing arts to their after-school programme. We can offer clubs for early years, lower primary and upper primary, and can tailor timing and age groups to your timetable. YAM is approved by Qatar's Ministry of Culture and handles planning, teaching and showcases, so the school's team can focus on everything else.

To bring a YAM club to your school, email info@yam.qa with your school name, the year groups you have in mind and your preferred days.

For parents

If YAM already runs a club at your child's school, you register through the school's own activity system. If not, ask your school about YAM, or see our weekly classes on yam.qa, which are open to children from any school.
