Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every booking made with Young Artists Mastery for Performing Arts W.L.L ("YAM", "we"), a children's performing arts academy in Doha approved by the Qatar Ministry of Culture, through yam.qa, the YAM app, WhatsApp or in person. By creating an account or booking a place you accept them on behalf of yourself and your child.

1. Accounts and bookings

• A parent or legal guardian aged 18+ creates the account and makes bookings. Please keep your contact details, your child's details and the list of people allowed to collect your child up to date.
• A place is confirmed once the booking is accepted and the invoice is paid, or when we confirm another arrangement (for example an approved instalment plan) in writing.
• Classes are grouped by age. We may suggest a different group if it suits your child better.

2. Fees and payment

• Prices are shown in Qatari riyals (QAR) on each class page. Term fees cover the sessions listed for that term; drop-in sessions and camps are priced per session or per week as shown.
• Invoices are issued automatically with a due date (normally the first session, or 7 days after booking if the class has already started). Card payments are processed securely by SkipCash; YAM never sees or stores your card number.
• Discounts (for example sibling or referral discounts) apply only where shown at the time of booking and cannot be combined unless we say so.
• If fees are unpaid by the due date we may hold the place for a short time and then release it to the waiting list.

3. Cancellations, refunds, absences and credits

Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In short: if YAM cancels, you get a full refund or credit; you can withdraw from a term class for a full refund until 7 days before the first session; camps and drop-ins can be cancelled up to 72 hours before they start. An excused absence that you tell us about before a Saturday term class earns a class credit; other classes do not earn absence credits.

4. Changes to classes

We may occasionally need to change a teacher, room, venue or time, or combine small groups. We will tell you as early as we can. If a change means your child can no longer attend, you can transfer or receive a refund for the sessions affected.

5. Health, safety and behaviour

• Tell us about allergies, medical conditions and additional needs when you register, and update us if anything changes. Please keep children at home if they are unwell or infectious.
• Children are expected to be kind and respectful to others. If a child's behaviour puts others at risk we will talk to you first; in serious cases we may end the booking, and any refund will be pro-rata for sessions not yet delivered.
• In an emergency we will contact you straight away and, if needed, seek medical help.

6. Safeguarding, drop-off and pick-up

• Our teaching staff provide a police clearance certificate before working with children, and we follow child-safeguarding procedures.
• Children are handed over only to a parent/guardian or to an authorised person you have added to your account. Please arrive on time; tell us in advance if someone else is collecting.
• For partner-school clubs, the school's own arrival and collection rules also apply.

7. Photos and video

We only take photos or video of your child for academy use if you give consent at registration, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Children's photos and records are stored privately and are visible only to authorised YAM staff and your own family account. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Personal data

We handle personal data in line with Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data.

9. Responsibility

We take reasonable care of every child in our sessions. To the extent permitted by Qatari law, YAM is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Qatari consumer protection law.

10. Changes, law and contact
